The Institute for Human Development is preparing a compendium of research on socio-economic development of Bihar since 2000, on behalf of the Government of Bihar. The objective of this compendium is to enable policy makers, academics and civil society organizations to gain access to research, to prioritize areas for intervention in the state; and to enable informed policy making.
To this end, research studies on Bihar are being collated and compiled into a data base for the use of various stakeholders in the development of the state. These studies have been classified into various categories including, but not limited to, agrarian studies, poverty and employment, urbanization and migration, caste, class and conflict, politics, public policy and governance, health and education and gender. It will be published in a book form and will also be disseminated electronically. The list of studies in the compendium can be obtained here.
If you are aware of any other researcher who has worked on Bihar or any other relevant research studies in Bihar, we would be grateful if you could send us the details of the same for inclusion in this valuable compendium, latest by 25th June 2010 at joyita.ghose@ihdindia.org or amrita.datta@ihdindia.org
