Varsha is a Research Assistant at the Institute for Human Development (IHD), New Delhi. She holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD), where she was awarded the academic merit scholarship for all four semesters, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.

Her work focuses on gender and employment, technology, and the future of work, with a strong emphasis on qualitative research and analysis. She also has a background in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and public health. At IHD, she contributes to a multi-country project examining the impact of AI and automation on the ready-made garment sector, undertaking desk reviews, coordinating field research, and analysing findings. She has also contributed to the District Gazetteers Revision Project covering districts in Bihar.
