Development Evaluation
Development evaluation plays a crucial role in understanding the effectiveness of policies and programs in achieving inclusive and sustainable growth. The Institute is expanding its efforts to rigorously evaluate the impact of various development initiatives, especially those targeting marginalized communities and vulnerable populations. This research area focuses on the assessment of poverty alleviation programs, social protection schemes, and public service delivery systems. It also explores the disparities between intended and actual outcomes, urban and rural interventions, and formal versus informal sectors. By examining the slow progress in key development indicators and analyzing the regional variations in the effectiveness of development initiatives, the research aims to provide actionable insights for policy enhancement. A significant component of this research is the critical analysis of macroeconomic, fiscal, and social policies to understand their broader implications on human development.
