Dr. Ravindra H. Dholakia retired from IIM Ahmedabad as a Professor of Economics  in 2018. Before joining IIMA as a senior faculty in 1985, he worked as Associate Professor at M. S. University of Baroda (1980-85) and SPIESR Ahmedabad (1977-80). He was a member of several policy making bodies at the Central and State Governments such as the Sixth Central Pay Commission (2006-08), the First Monetary Policy Committee (2016-20), Sub-National Accounts Committee (2018-20), State Public Finance Reforms Committee of Gujarat, etc.  He has successfully guided 41 doctoral students and published 23 books, 51 monographs and more than 140 research papers in journals of national and international repute. He was on the Board of Directors of NCDEX, STC, PFC, Air India, Union Bank of India, GSFS, GGC, etc. Currently, he is a member of the Central Board of RBI, NABARD, GSFC, GIPCL, GSPC, ATL and AESL.
