Dr. Sunil Kumar Mishra is currently working as a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Human Development in Delhi. He received his MA and M.Phil in Economics from Sambalpur University, his Ph.D. from the University of Allahabad, and completed his postdoctoral studies at the Institute for Human Development.
Dr. Mishra’s primary research and publication interests include food and nutrition security, child development, tribal development, rural-urban linkages, human development, and the evaluation of government programs. He has authored two books and more than thirty papers, and has led over thirty-five major research projects sponsored by organizations such as UNICEF, ILO, GIZ, WHH, ICSSR, UNDP, MoTA, and the Ministry of Rural Development.
Previously, Dr. Mishra was an Research Assistant at Department of Economics, Sambalpur University and an ICSSR research fellow at the G.B. Pant Social Science Institute in Prayagraj. Additionally, he has supervised four Ph.D. students in the Department of Economics at Indira Gandhi National Open University.
