Vikas Dubey has been a researcher at the Institute for Human Development (IHD), Delhi, since 2011 and has held the position of Research Associate since 2020. Over the years, he has contributed to a wide range of studies undertaken by the Institute. With a Master’s degree in Rural Development, he has been a team member in the preparation of Human Development Reports for the states of Delhi and Uttarakhand and UTs of Daman and Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli, evaluations of key government programs such as MGNREGA, Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY), and urban sanitation initiatives. Vikas has expertise in managing and analysing large datasets, utilising statistical tools like SPSS and STATA. Vikas has managed extensive field works for several research and evaluation studies and is proficient at Computer-Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) systems and developing questionnaire formats, logistics, and programming through CS PRO. He has exceptional knowledge on concepts and categories employed in surveys such as NSS, NFHS, ASI and Census of India, as well as measuring development parameters such as income, consumption expenditure, poverty, HDI, and employment and unemployment.
Vikas has made paper presentations at renowned conferences, including the IHD Silver Jubilee International Conference on Sustainable and Inclusive Urban Development and IHD Global Conclave 2024 and the Annual Conferences of Indian Society of Labour Economics.
